Dr. Park Speaks on Market Approach to Online Privacy Protection

HMG member Dr. Yong Jin Park’s interview of February 2015 with the Oxford Internet Institute on the topic of policy and the Internet, explores the interactive nature of the Internet – something largely unexamined in current debates about privacy in online communication. His statements are based on his research examining 398 commercial sites in the US, which revealed that more popular sites did not necessarily provide better privacy controls than less popular sites.
